Big League Chew
I’m a leader on the different teams I play for and in my community for many reasons. The sports I play on an organized sports team are baseball (my favorite), football, and basketball. I am definitely a team player. I support my teammates, coaches and referees. Even if we’re down a few points and the game is almost over, I rally the team together and tell them to put their rally caps on! I cheer my teammates when it’s their turn at bat. And if they don’t make a play or make a hit when they are at bat, I slap their hands and tell them GREAT JOB! Because that’s what they did. They went out there and gave it their all. And that’s all we can do. If we lose a game, I make sure everyone knows that it’s just a game and ask them – did you have fun? Because that’s what really counts! Last year my baseball team went to the playoffs. We came in second place, but at the last game, I bought a baseball and had my whole team sign it. I then gave it to our coach for bringing us as far as he did. This year in May, I broke my ankle in a game. I was out the rest of the season but I still went to every one of my games because I was still part of the team I wanted to cheer my team on. After games, I always try to help clean up. If it’s collecting the bases or throwing trash out that was left behind, I always do my part.
Recently I joined my church’s CYO organization. A few weeks ago we all had to bring peanut butter and jelly to the church’s cafeteria. We split up in groups and made sandwiches. We made 650 sandwiches for a local organization that helps the needy. In two weeks from now we will meet again. This time we will be raking leaves for senior citizens in our community. When the snow arrives we’ll be shoveling snow for people who need our help. I feel that it’s important to volunteer my time like this for people who need our help. I feel good helping these people and I feel good about myself.
I help around the house as much as I can. I empty the trashcans, bring out the recycles, and make my bed every day. This helps my Mom out!
I have a younger brother Sean. I have been teaching him how to pitch baseballs and catch a football.
I feel that I’m perfect for having my picture on a pack of Big League Chew. I hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you,
Chris Tronoski
